Privacy Policy

Cravings Close By uses account information to let members sign in, save favorites, publish maker profiles and reviews, and manage featured visibility. We keep private listing addresses and coordinates for distance calculations and nearby matching. Public profiles show a general area and distance, not a private street address or exact coordinates.

Information you share

Makers choose their public profile name, description, photos, specialties, social links and optional business contact details. Reviews and their photos are public with the reviewer name. Contact information entered as a public business contact can be seen by visitors; account email remains private unless you deliberately provide it as public contact.

Location

With permission, the browser sends the customer’s coordinates to our distance service. You can search by city or ZIP instead, in which case distances are approximate. A maker’s entered business address is privately geocoded for distance and featured radius. We do not send precise location or private addresses to Google Analytics.

Payments and services

Stripe handles payments for Featured profile visibility; the site uses payment status to activate or end paid placement. We do not process payment for food. The site also uses sign-in, hosting, storage and private location services to provide these features.

Analytics and cookie choices

With your permission, Google Analytics 4 measures page visits, general location, device types, traffic sources and selected site actions. Analytics is optional; declining does not prevent use of the site. We do not send passwords, email addresses, phone numbers, private addresses, precise GPS coordinates or card data to analytics.

For privacy questions, account deletion or support, use Contact / Support. You can also delete your maker profile from account settings.
